10 Kilometres walk across the beautiful varied countryside of Rabacal, Penela.
Today we had a little adventure. We were invited by friends (clients who had bought a property from us four years ago) to accompany them on a guided walk through some beautiful local scenery finished of with a picnic lunch.
We when with www.go-outdoor.pt ran by a young Portuguese couple who are multi lingual, take you at a speed comfortable for you and take the time to explain various things along thee way, answer questions and generally just make things comfortable for all the clients. We walked in the morning, met outside a cafe at 9.30 and then walked around the hills and small villages near Rabaçal, Penela. Stopping for what must be the best picnic ever, sitting under an olive tree we ate a fabulous range of food topped of with wine and hot coffee. On a picnic ?

Hi, we did this walk too!! We found the info for it at the Our Portugal blog over at ourportugal.wordpress.com. It was great and the go outdoor team were absoloutley fantastic. We were sooo ready for the picnic and wine when it came to lunch!
